Call for abstracts: “Reimagining Development Futures in the Anthropocene and Climate Crisis” Asia Pacific Sociological Association (APSA), October 28-29, 2022, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand

This conference proposes a two-day academic and civic dialogue event that will bring together multiple disciplinary academics and researchers, international and national civil society, and non-governmental organizations, practitioners, and local community groups to discuss multidimensional development amid global environmental changes.

Based on the two dominant conceptual frameworks — the Anthropocene and climate change — of the current global environmental crisis, this conference seeks to connect the urgency of the crisis and find the motivation to learn and act upon emerging issues and challenges unprecedented in human history.

It is supported, among other partners, by the RC46 “Clinical sociology” of the International Association of Sociology.
